The 🌲 Paradis des Praz is a natural playground, a hidden jewel cocooned in 🌲 the woods, well-known to families living in the region, but perhaps not to those visiting.

As well as being a popular spot in the ☀️ summertime, over the winter school holidays the buvette is also often open – so you can have a magical walk through the ❄️ snowy forest and then warm up with a hot chocolate and cake!

Activities at Le Paradis des Praz

Nestled in the 🌲 woods in Les Praz, a short 10mins walk from the ⛳️ golf-course car park (or from Les Tines, in the opposite direction), a little stream runs through a spot that has been transformed into a small paradise for children; 💦 shallow water in which to paddle and splash about in.

In addition, you will find on-site:

• 🌈 a playground for young children;
• 🏖 a sandpit;
• 🐴 pony rides in the summer;
• 🐓 NEW – chickens!
• 🎂 Le Paradis des Praz can also organises birthday parties!

good to know: 🌲 Le Paradis des Praz can get quite busy during the summer months, but you can still find shade. Be sure to take a picnic blanket and also swimming gear for the children, as they’ll get wet splashing about!

Eating options

🌲 Le Paradis des Praz runs a ☕️ buvette where you can sit for lunch or have a snack, while the little ones play.

Alternatively, you are allowed to use the tables close to the playground area for your own 🍏 picnics, as long as you buy drinks from the buvette, which is a very fair deal.

Winter walks

Practical Information

getting there:

🚙 by car – if coming by car, the most obvious way to reach 🌲 Le Paradis des Praz is 🅿 to park in Les Praz-de-Chamonix (route du Golf, next to the golf club); from 🅿 the car park, you can walk with buggies past the🏌️‍♂️ golf course and then through 🌲 the woods [ good to know: from experience, we highly recommend the use of push bikes or bikes for this short walk, for little ones who have a tendency to grumble when walking but not when cycling! ]

🚵‍♀️ by bike – if you have a baby seat on your bike and are living or staying nearby (or if the children are old enough to cycle themselves), then a bike ride through the woods of Les Praz is lovely;

🚞 by train – you can take the train and get off either at Les Praz or Les Tines; after this, it is a short walk;
