The 🌈 Domaine des Planards, Chamonix’s very own little amusement park with 🏔 views of Mont Blanc, makes for a great family day out!

As well as the 🛷 Chamonix Luge-Alpine Coaster, which is open year-round, there is a 🌈 FREE playground, great slides, motorbikes and cars to ride, diggers to operate, trampolines, and 💦 water-themed rides.

In addition, during the ❄️ winter season, ⛷ Domaine des Planards is a ski slope, a specialist snooc zone, and the alpine luge operates too ! ( ⇒ see separate article here )

Parc d’Attractions & Luge-Alpine Coaster

While the 🛷 Chamonix Luge-Alpine Coaster (see here) operates with a ticket system, the rest of the amusement park operates with a system of jetons (tokens) that can be purchased either from the machines or from the caisses.

There are attractions for really little ones (from 1 year), slides and mini cars for children 3+ years, trampolines for 4+ years, and bigger rides for 7+ years (see plan below).

Playgrounds

There is a 🌈 FREE playground for 1 to 3 year olds on-site, opposite the ☕️ Restaurant des Planards!

Small children will enjoy watching the red Montenvers train passing . . .

Eating options

There is a great and friendly ☕️ restaurant on-site, and for ⚽️ big sporting events, a large screen is set up on the terrace of the restaurant . . . the perfect spot for families to watch together, with all that the 🌈 Domaine des Planards had to offer on-site, and mountain views (and a quick escape for family members not so interested in the football!).

🗓 opening hours:

⇒ see here for current opening hours and prices / the 🌈 Parc d’Attraction is open from April until November, the Alpine Coaster all year (with a short pause in November) and the Domaine Skiable from late December until April.

🅿 parking: there is plenty of free parking at Les Planards car park!
