You may have spotted them this wintertime, on the ❄️ ⛄️ fronts de neige and on the ⛷ ski pistes, by 🚡 télécabines and télésiège departure and arrival points, along main roads in designated spots, or perhaps a slot at a 🍏 market . . . and come 🌷 springtime and ☀️ summertime, some of them will move to new locations: 💦 lakes or perhaps another 🏔 mountain location . . .
FOOD TRUCKS & FOOD HUTS have multiplied 🏔 au Pays du Mont-Blanc! Some can be seen feeding the visitors at 🎶 festivals and concerts, and some you can even book for private hire! They take the form of: airstreams, vans, wooden huts, Mongolian yurts, igloos and even a trailer painted to look like a 🚡 télécabine! Some serve the staples of 🍕 pizzas, 🍔 burgers, 🌭 saucisses and 🍟 frites . . . some offer 🍲 🥗 organic and 🍰 sweet treats, and some are ☕️ coffee specialists . . .
It has been really interesting (and fun!) researching this article and learning the stories behind the food trucks and huts and the passion for food of those running them! So, here in this article, are the FOOD TRUCKS and FOOD HUTS we have happened across on our MBFF adventures . . . I shall add to this list au fur et à mesure . . .
good to know – many of these food trucks and huts won’t accept cards; so please be sure to bring enough small change!

CHAMONIX VALLEY & VALLORCINE
☕️ Café Alpin ☕️ (Chamonix Valley)
I met with the ☕️Café Alpin team last summer at the Chamfest festival and loved their coffee . . . their little fleet of blue vans now extends to THREE in Chamonix Valley at: 🚡 Brévent departure station, 🚡 Grands Montets departure station and at the 🚂 Montenvers train station – and more vans are planned for next year, in other alpine resorts.

The ☕️ Café Alpin vans are blue Piaggio Ape and are produced by international designers in Italy. Their coffee baristas come from all over the world and bring with them their international know-how (from coffee meccas Italy, London and Sydney – masters of the finest coffee!) . . . as Café Alpin puts it: ” As every country has its own little twist in coffee preparation, only by combining all of them together, we are able to create an extraordinary final product. Every single coffee that our baristas prepare is made with love and passion. They put their heart into it and take their time to prepare every drink. We will only serve a ☕️ perfect cup of coffee to our clients. It has to be the highest quality. It has to be extraordinary. Using our magical “snow white” cups in Alpine style, with a delicious coffee, tea or hot chocolate, we are creating a memorable experience for our clients”.
