St Gervais Playgrounds

There are several playgrounds in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and its environs to keep your little ones entertained.

In Saint-Gervais-les-Bains

Jardin du Mont Blanc

St Gervais town centre has a delightful, newly renovated playground to keep your little ones active and happy.  Located in the Jardin du Mont Blanc, the landscaping around the playground is itself lovely, with lots of grassy slopes, an old well and bandstand and some well-located benches to admire the mountain views.  The playground has as a theme Le Tramway du Montblanc, and children can play at driving their own tram!  There is also a netted swing, a swing for tiny ones, a small trampoline, and a climbing frame. NEW ADDITION 2017: a snow-plough!

Sporting Club

Just past the swimming pool, and next to the tennis courts and mini-golf, is another small playground for toddlers.  It is nestled behind a crèche and next to a little stream and has plenty of shade for hot sunny days.  There are slides and a little sand-pit, so bring your buckets & spades and diggers & dump trucks!

In the environs of St Gervais there are several more playgrounds:

Le Fayet Parc Thermal has a lovely playground (soon to be renovated), which is outlined in a separate post (see here for more information).

Bettex arrival télécabine has a playground . . . but don’t expect to see it in the wintertime, as it is dismantled to make way for the ski installations!

St Nicolas de Véroce has a small playground with lovely views.  It is located just behind the Bibliotèque (library) and has FREE parking! address: route de Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce, 74170 Saint-Gervais-les-Bains

Plateau de la Croix we’ve not yet visited this playground, but perhaps a family walk will soon take us this way?

St Gervais Tourist Office has a special booklet available, with all the listings necessary for an active, fun holiday as a family.  The booklet also has fun games for children *
